1. Where are the last oil reserves?
All of our remaining oil reserves are in the middle east. We took them by force and our military is constantly guarding them.
2. Why do oil companies say they have more oil than they do?
Oil companies want people to think that we have more oil than we really do so that everyone will keep buying it instead of finding new sources of energy. Also oil companies are allowed to produce more oil if they have more reserves.
3. How much oil do we really have and when will it run out?
No one knows exactly how much oil we have, but in 2009 it was reported that there are 1,354 billion barrels of oil left which is twice as much as we had in 2000. Even if this number was true it would only last for about 44 years because of growing nations such as India and China and our constant need for oil.
